How to set ZIP code based payment method?

You can set the payment methods based on the ZIP code. This functionality helps you to add different payment options for different PIN codes. Depending on the ZIP or PIN entered by the customer while placing the order, the payment method(s) will be displayed on the checkout page.

Scenario

You have two payment methods defined i.e. COD and Online Payments. For the ZIP code "122016", you want to set the COD payment method. On the other hand, for the other PIN codes, you want to set the online payment method. You can set this by adding a ZIP code based payment method.

Steps

To set the payment method based on the ZIP code, follow the steps mentioned below:

• Go to the Settings > Payment methods section in the StoreHippo Admin Panel.
• Click the Add New button to add a new payment method.
• A form will open up with multiple fields.
• Enter the payment method name in the Name field.
• Choose the type of payment method from the Type drop-down. Here, we are selecting the Cash On Delivery option.
• In the Caption field, enter the caption description. This caption will be displayed on the checkout page.
• Click the Add Condition button.
• Now, proceed to provide the conditions. Choose "Zip code" in Field and "equals" in Operator field. In the Value field, enter the PIN code. Here, we are entering "122016" as the PIN code value.
• After providing the condition, click the Insert Condition button. 
• Select the Enable checkbox to set the payment gateway on your website. 
• You can provide the Sort Order if needed. 
• Click the Save button to set the payment method for the specified city.

Now, when the ZIP code will be "122016", the COD payment option will be provided to the customer. Similarly, you can create different payment methods for the other ZIP codes.
